Ethics is about what is just or fair, or right or wrong.

Ethics is about what is just or fair, or right or wrong.

1. Ethics is about what is just or fair, or right or wrong. Lying is considered unethical in an organizational setting, but there may be other things that could be considered unethical, too. In an organizational setting, what else might be ethical or unethical? Why do you think so? Draw from this week’s reading, as well as previous weeks’ readings, as you write about these questions.

2. Leaders of organizations, as well as those who work within them, often work hard to develop an organizational culture. Sometimes they do this through mission statements or values that the organization tries to promote. In other words, culture and values can become part of an organization’s identity. Find information about an organization whose identity is at least partially tied to values it has articulated and report on what you found. As the week progresses, discuss the degree to which you feel the organization has taken action to uphold those values (or, conversely, how it may have undermined its values).
