Assignment: 2-2 Discussion: Union Avoidance and Ethics

Comments: Complete the two peer responses per the Discussion Topic.

There were definitely ethical issues and even illegal issues made by Wal-Mart and some of their managers. Even though Wal-Mart denounced unions publicly it didn’t leave them free of any legalities from retaliating against employees. In the case of Wal-Mart and their California managers they were threatening employees with termination, as well as, penalizing them and threatening to cause bodily harm. Retaliating against employees on strike is unethical and  employers have the ability to communicate their opinions about unions in a way that doesn’t threaten the employees and put themselves at risk for illegal actions.
