Please watch, on Netflix, the Original Star Trek Episode, ‘The Menagerie’, Parts 1 and 2. (On Netflix, this can be found under Season 1, Episodes 12 and 13.)  Then, answer the following question:  Do our perceptions of ‘reality’ have an impact on our moral and ethical commitments? Even if each of us has a slightly different view or understanding of ‘reality’, is it our ‘commitment to the real’ that provides the common ground upon which we can make any moral or ethical judgments?  Explain.
