My ethical dilemma I chose is below

Dual relationships transpire when a therapist happens to have a different connection like playing the role of both the traditional-client-therapist and client. As much as it may be a professional association, it may be a non-qualified type, an instance being where a health provider who is a friend or an inmate partner of the person who wants therapy. Health providers enable client development and growth in ways, which nurture the welfare and interest of clients and encourage creation of healthy relations (Kaplan et al., 2017). With relationship to non-harmful and harmful dual relationship between client and workers. Non-harmful dual relationships encompass the breakdown of boundaries. This form of dual relationship befalls when one or more responsibilities are tangled in a way that can be damaging to a therapeutic relationship or a counselling relationship.

There are several ways in which social workers decide if dual relationships are damaging or not to a client. Many dual relationships can have influence on the result of client therapy in several ways (Sutherland, 2018). For instance, few therapists are not able to separate what they comprehend regarding a patient in a real world with what they realize concerning their patient in the therapy session. Habitually, the therapist can adjust the treatment plan while sometimes they offer a negative view of their patients with note to their external knowledge. A therapist is deemed to be ethical and responsible as of their aptitude to split personal relations to therapeutic relationships. Moreover, damaging dual relationships can be beneficial because the therapist may have a great patient’s history before the therapist.
