Technology has become a defining component of today’s workplace. It has ushered in issues of personal privacy, data integrity, misinformation, biometrics and artificial intelligence, among others. As HR or LR professionals, or as employees in any workplace, you may have observed some of these problems, which have apparently outpaced ethical rules and mores. In this assignment, we are ONLY concerned about company-level abuses, and NOT the misuse of technology by employees themselves, such as shopping online, or making personal telephone calls, or viewing pornography at work.
In an essay of approx. 3 pages in length:
• Describe a technology-based organizational-level abuse that you have observed;
• the ethical problems it presents;
• its utility to the enterprise;
• its impact on employees and how to resolve the ethical challenges associated with it.
