In a four-paragraph essay, write about a time when you experienced two strong emotions. Use examples to discuss the two emotions and what prompted them. Explain how you felt and why. If discussing a negative emotion, explain what, if anything, you did to get rid of it.
Your essay should have:
an introductory paragraph explaining emotions
one paragraph for each emotion
a concluding paragraph
The last sentence of the introductory paragraph should read: “Two emotions I have had are” and then give the two emotions. You will earn extra credit if you include dialog in your essay.
Indent the first line of each paragraph. Include topic and closing sentences for each paragraph and use transitions between paragraphs. Pay close attention to spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. Revise, edit, and proofread your essay carefully.
Layout:
Double space the essay
Use 1-inch margins
Use 12-point font (Ariel or Times New Roman)
Title the essay (do no underline or bold)
On the left side at the top of the first page include the following:
Last Name, First Name
