Using the current issue in the educational industry as the topic for your research proposal from Assignment 1, in this assignment, you will be writing an analytical paper about different research designs. Write a four (4) page paper in which you: Discuss the purpose of each of the following research designs as related to your research topic: Survey, Correlational, Causal-Comparative, and Experimental Outline the major steps involved in conducting your proposed study with each design. Provide a description of the tasks involved at each step. Explain each design’s test of significance for your topic variables. Explain the directional, non-directional, and null hypotheses for each research design pertaining to your research topic. Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements: Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions. Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length. The specific course learning outcomes associated with this assignment are: Analyze and evaluate quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and conclusions. Determine appropriate methods of data analysis. Evaluate the applicability of different research methodologies to a given type of study.
