Distance learning holds a special place in the modern world. Some students opt to go for distance learning for several reasons. Among the many reasons would be their proximity to the school. Distance learning, therefore, offers an opportunity for the student an opportunity for the student to learn at the comfort of their home. Others prefer the system because they can easily engage in other activities and continue with schooling. The lack of physical supervision, however, raises concerns among several shareholders in schools. Because of these concerns, some people do not support distance learning. There are, however, characteristics that determine the success of the student that make him or her able to succeed in the distance learning programs.
