Task:
For Essay 2 you will be writing a 1,500 word Narrative Argument essay that tells a story that supports a main point. You will directly state your main point in the form of an enthymeme in either your introduction or conclusion. You will focus your narrative on a single event or personal experience from your life or someone you know personally. You will also include at least two direction quotations in your essay – one from your Research Report and the other an essay from our last unit\’s reading (if these articles don\’t work, find an alternate quality source.

Paper must be about 1,500 words or 5 double-spaced pages (not including works cited list)
Use the outline you developed and the tips and strategies in the Canvas pages Narrative as Rhetorical Mode and Writing a Description to help you choose and organizational structure and develop your body paragraphs.
In previous assignments, you analyzed how writers combine the use of narrative and description with signal phrases and the use of outside sources. Use what you learned to incorporate at least two direct quotations (with pages cited) from an essay (or more than one essay) from our last unit that matches your topic (see note above).
Make sure to include a properly formatted enthymeme. This will be the sentence at the heart and soul of your essay that crystalizes your main idea.

Step 3: Revision Statement
At the very end of your essay, after your Works Cited list write a short paragraph of 5+ sentences identifying five significant changes you made to your essay between the First and Second Draft based on a) your own revisions and rereading of your essay, b) feedback from peers, c) feedback from writing tutors, your instructor, or anyone else you shared your work with while writing.

I experienced racial discrimination for the first time because I am Japanese. When I visited Utah, I stayed in a hotel. There is a large hot tub that every guest can use. My mother and I went there, and an old lady was already there. She saw us and said, \”They are Japanese, so they shouldn\’t be here.\” I was shocked because we paid the same fees as hers. We are also guests of the hotel.
Story 2:
When I visited Hawaii, I went to a small shop. I bought magnets for a total of about 18 dollars. But the cashier said a total of more than 30 dollar. Therefore, I paid the fee. I didn\’t speak English at the time, so I only paid for it. After returning to the hotel, I asked my uncle, and he said, \”The cashier knows that you don\’t speak English, so they got extra money from you.\”
