1. “Development” in children means the growth of their mind as well. There are many differences in developments as a child ages. In the first five years children endure their emotions as well as their surroundings when considering development. More logical thinking comes into play while they go through phases. Operational thinking is very apparent with children. Each child goes through a phase where they start to process different thoughts in a way they can better understand the meaning of. When in relation to gender and culture there are different view points on thinking for adolescents. “While children tend to think very concretely and specifically in earlier stages, the ability to think about abstract concepts emerges during the formal operational stage. Instead of relying solely on previous experiences, children begin to consider possible outcomes and consequences of actions. This type of thinking is important in long-term planning.” (Cherry,2019)

Children tend to start to use hypothetical thinking as well. They start to use reasoning tactics from their own beliefs and how they feel about situations. Some cultural advancement has been known to alter how growing children change their thinking. Nature Vs. Nurture are a big staple when children are growing and develop cognitive skills. Their learning is influenced through actions of others and how other kids act around them. They will form their own thinking process on these spectrums however they will considering options whether to do these actions they are asked to do. Each child is different of course but what they surrounded by influences their decision making skills.
