Hearing and listening are different concepts. Hearing is simply an act of perceiving sound through the ear. If a person is not hearing-impaired hearing simply takes place. Some of the situations when a person hears something but not listen to it when a person is busy reading a newspaper or book at home and hears the neighbors speaking, the radio or television. In hearing, a person cannot process the information he or she is getting. This is unlike in listening where the brain is actively involved in processing information…
