Black lives matter

Throughout the American history, the black Americans have been continually undervalued on the grounds of their race. The advent of the BLM organization has been enhanced with recent killings of young black Americans by police officers. For instance, the deaths of philando Castile and Alton Sterling, the two African Americans who were killed by police officers. The occurrence of a similar event on the White would invoke outrageous remarks from the public calling for drastic actions to be taken by the officers based on the fact that the young men were unarmed. Despite this, the officers are brought to book only to be handed with light sentences instead of hefty charges based on their outrageous actions.

The BLM organization advocates for the eradication of racial discrimination against the African Americans. On the other hand, the assertion presented by the ALM can be related to an individual who joins a mass of people advocating on breast cancer with a poster reading ‘colon cancer kill.’ The notion presented by the BLM organization does not mean that other lives do not matter but call for the advocation of the rights of the African Americans.
