Here is the prompt for the first paper:
Nagel on the Evil of Death: Is death bad for the person who is dead, and if so, why? Why does Nagel think it is hard to answer these questions? What is his proposed explanation for the evil of death? Do you think it is successful?
You need to be very clear about the thesis statement. You can argue with some relatively basis arguments, but you can’t involve too much, such as “death is a good thing”.
