You will apply the output of Module 1 Data Evaluation in this portfolio project unit 1.

For this task, you will choose a portfolio project topic, create a research question, data planning and collection. This task is useful because you practice creating a research question, data planning and collection.

2. Refer back to the portfolio project guide as you are working through this task. It will help you to understand the steps required to complete the portfolio project.

Use your journal to answer the following questions:
1. Choose your portfolio topic from the given topics.
2. Create your research question.

Use your journalto answer the following questions
1. Identify what types of data are required to investigate the research question or hypotheses?
2. What extend the data set meets requirements?
3. What can be said about data source: experimental (laboratory, field and natural), simulation, questionnaires, observation, reference, census, population and sampling.
4. What can be said about the reliability and validity with regards to collected data
5. How do the problems with data effect the ability to investigate the research question? For example, missing data, incorrect formats, nonresponses, incomplete responses, unrealistic values; and identify outliers.
