Cultural relativism is, understanding that cultures beliefs through his or her point of view. Ethical relativism is when the action that is being produced is either right or wrong in a person\’s point of view. The difference between the two is culture reflects the cultural and ethical beliefs and standard\’s of how people should interact with others. An example I have chosen is Portuguese people. I myself are Portuguese and the most know tradition is the olive oil, bread, music, art, and cherishing the mother Mary. Some people may believe different but in our culture their is nothing more than believing in god and mother Mary as our savior. As a cultural realitivsm point of view this is okay because all people believe in the same aspect. As a ethical relativism point of view others may perceive this as wrong because they do not believe in the same thing as we do. As for the olive oils, and bread some people believe that it is traditional and merciful while others don\’t. In addition everyone is different but it depends how you perrcive it as well. As for myself I believe in God and the mother Mary so I have the statues on my father\’s memorial because I feel that they are his protection now. Or you see a Portuguese woman or man\’s yard and it\’s very clean, beautiful and has the stairs all around. This is because of the traditional concepts that I am talking about cherishing the mother Mary and Jesus
