1. The millennial generation lacks old-fashioned critical thinking skills because they have continually been exposed to a world where stimulation is desirable.
2. Children exposed to media start having an inner expectation that learning is instant and therefore do not seek to get in-depth knowledge – leading to a thinking gap (Perna, 2022).
3. The millennial generation has relatively lower critical thinking ability because the media does not allow them to concentrate on one item or problem long enough to understand it well.
4. Getting younger children to think critically is a process that a parent must deliberate about for success to be achieved.
5. Parents need to expose children to puzzles, riddles, and problem solving to achieve systematic problem solving (Well, 2023).
6. Parents need to practice active listening and train their children to be able to decode messages well.
7. Asking children thought-provoking questions on different aspects of life is key to improving their critical skills.
