There are decision support systems (DSS) that many leaders use to make their daily decisions. These systems have unique functionality, often classified within databases, and may contain data formed in various ways to provide the user with the information he or she desires. Many IT professionals pride themselves on providing good data to satisfy the user’s needs. There are many forms of DSS. Some leaders request a decision support system that will produce a report formatted in a particular manner, produced during a specific time of the month, and distributed to a particular team for action. You undoubtedly are familiar with a DSS that your current organization or another organization uses for daily decisions.
