This is summary about my company

WAYMO, the company who built the first self-driving car. The company wants safer roads. So, our company is in the research and development phase and works with other carmakers to test its products. It hasn’t introduced them into the market yet. The company created self-driving software and sensors which will be set up in the cars. Waymo needs to forecast a lot of things. In the short-range forecast, the company needs to know the workforce level. Indeed, they need to know if they must hire to develop the products, market them, or test them. They need to forecast the purchase of the materials (computers, chips,etc), and the assignment of each job to avoid delays in testing for instance. In the medium-range forecast, the company needs to prepare a budget to spend the money received by Alphabet, its holding, wisely. It will also reassure the holding and the partners to know that the previsional budgets are respected. Usually, in the medium-range forecast, sales and production are planned. However, self-driving cars are still in the research and development stage with a lot of constraints either legal or technical. So, sales and production forecasts must be moved in the long-range forecast with the development of new products and the establishment of new place to test the automatic vehicles. Thus, Waymo should use a technological forecast that predict the rate of technological progress to show their advancement to the investors. Also, Waymo should use a qualitative approach of forecasting because this method is used when a situation is vague and when there is no data available. Indeed, Waymo created a new technology. This method implied intuition and experience.Then, they should use several ways to prepare their forecasts like the jury of executive opinion, the delphi method, and the market survey. They will get opinions of experts, customers, and staff.
