Acquired immune deficiency syndrome is more of a condition than a disease which is caused by the human immunodeficiency virus that causes the human body to be at more risks of contracting infections (Fee & Fox, 2012). The infections one gets when they have the acquired immune deficiency syndrome are called opportunistic infections since they take advantage to infect someone when the body is at its level with immunity.
