My true interpretation of this commandment is plain and simple, “do not kill”,

My true interpretation of this commandment is plain and simple, “do not kill”, as in do not commit a murder/suicide/genocide. I regard this interpretation as true because murder and suicide are both forms of killing and this commandment clearly states that one may not kill. However, I believe that this commandment only pertains to human life. I would say that my interpretation identifies with Gadamer because I interpret this commandment based on my own experiences and culture.

The command “do not kill” can simply be interpreted to “do not take away life.” This life can be your own or somebody else’s; it does not matter but what is important is that no one has the right to take away life. This commandment only applies to human life since animals were given to man for his own benefit………………………..
