There was no way the natives would have ruled themselves as well as serving other masters. This case was not possible because the British could not give them the privilege to exercise their rights and this made it impossible for the colonists to serve two masters all at once. The rule of the British officials was dictatorial in nature and in a way forced the natives to work for them in the farms with the mind that they worked to be able to afford money to pay taxes, which was imposed by the British.
