Civilization: Here is my first week discussion board instructions I will attach the actual discussion that needs to be reworded please change the city to Charleston sc and give me a whole better flow to it but the thread is based on these instructions.

Describe a time in your life when you experienced
“culture shock.” What did you learn from that experience about the connection
between “culture” and “values”? Your posting should demonstrate an understanding
of each of these key terms, as they are defined in our textbook
readings.
Writing is described in our textbook as the most influential
technology ever developed in human history. In two well-crafted paragraphs, you
should (1) defend this idea and state why you think it is true; and (2) describe
a time in your life when you experienced the power and wonder of writing in a
fresh way.
In general, we’re not used to thinking of buildings as
objects that represent the beliefs and values of a culture. Based on what you’ve
read in our textbook, how would you convince somebody that the ancient Egyptian
pyramids can be thought of as “representative” buildings of that
civilization?

Having been born in an Islamic state, my parents moved to the United States in order to search for a better livelihood. When we arrived in the New York, I experienced a cultural shock. People appeared to believe and practice in a different kind of culture different from that of people in Egypt. Culture represents the belief systems of people and the values they practice. There was a connection between the values the people believed in and their cultural practices……………………
