As explained by Mauer et al. (n.d), the history of China’s Great wall starts way back in the 5th century BC. Specifically, the Great Wall of China was built in the period between 5th and 16th century with the aim of protecting the northern borders that were owned by the Chinese Empire. The Great Wall of China is the longest building structure in the world. The length of China’s great wall is approximately 6,400 km. This length is equivalent to 4,000 miles.
