Key functions of stained glass windows in the Gothic style.

In the Gothic style, stained glass windows were used mainly for learning purposes. This is supported by the fact that the designs in the stained-glass windows depicted different bible scenes. These scenes served as vital tools that helped people to learn and understand Christian beliefs. Blue and red were the main colors that were used to stain the glass windows because they could allow light to enter inside the church. Glass windows were also stained as a way of decorating the church (Palmer, 2011).
