Barclay’s Super-Secret

The Textual Analysis:

After reading both “The Permanence of Black Lives Matter,” by Newkirk II, and “Does ‘Black Lives Matter’ Really Matter?,” by Taylor, you get a deeper insight into BLM—what they want and how they feel. For this essay, I want you to pick one of the two articles and thoroughly read the text. This will mean you have to reread the text at least once, if not more. You need to analyze the text chosen and create an original argument about how the text works, the voracity of the claims, and any other pertinent features that affect the text. You essay, as always, should be thesis driven and should be an argument of some sort. Have a goal in mind and build arguments that you support with quotes from the text; you will have to thoroughly explain the quote(s) throughout your essay as well.
