As I am reaching the completion of my project and the pieces of my performance improvement come to a tangible intervention that can affect the quality in which a patient receives care, I am strategically involving multiple disciplines that contribute to the success of the project implementation. During the course of building a singular streamlined EMR system of a multi-facility healthcare system with build in bridge order powerplans to aide in transferred patients’ continuity of care I have involved nursing, medical, transportation, quality, financial, and technology leaders. Upon completion of my improvement project, I will first call together the groups involved in the process to reveal the final product as a type of final check before the sharing of this data to senior leadership as a means to seek approval for implementation as a form of PowerPoint with printed flyers, and examples of documentation changes. Verbal, visual, and physical handouts of information allow for multiple types of learners to process the information they are being given. Dissemination of evidence-based research in support of creating an intervention for improvement that can change the entire internal processes of a healthcare system is integral to the success of the implementation in order to have the entire organization accept and trial new change-management (Friesen et al., 2017).
The next group of those requiring an audience to disseminate evidence-based research for systematic change is leadership. Leaders of all respective units, service lines, and facilities should be present to discuss the theoretical framework for implementation of the new process. It is through the leaders in the organization that the changes will be conveyed, taught, and reinforced with staff. Leaders are also the main source for collecting, interpreting, and reporting feedback on the improvement process effectiveness making them the most heavily depended on role throughout this process (Mansaray, 2019).
In the realm of healthcare, every person who conducts research intends to utilize their findings for overall improvement of healthcare delivery. The patient is always the foremost concern, which is why dissemination of research data is imperative to reach the most appropriate audience so it can be utilized for further healthcare delivery improvements for all patients. Data sharing through clinical platforms is the perfect place for improvement project due to the ability for clinical specialist to study, test, and report feedback on research in a constantly evolving forum that is as current with the dynamically changing healthcare world (Vazquez et al., 2021).
After receiving feedback and modifying the process as trials are conducted, data should be recorded of findings and changes made due to the findings. This can later be published onto the various clinical platforms to discusses barriers encountered, overcame, and the result of the finalized project to share improvement methods for other healthcare providers to draw from as they improve their own healthcare systems, or even provide feedback with issues they may have encountered and ways they were able to overcome them.
