Argumentative essay: Myth on Western Expansion
Our current Myth on Western Expansion is in flux. The simple romantic notions of heroic cowboys and rugged frontiersman who won the day by civilizing a savage land is being questioned. Certainly writers like Cormac McCarthy want to complicate our understanding of our Western past, but what should our Western Myth become as we move into the 21st century? Make your argument for a better understanding of this all-important American myth.

THIS IS WHAT PROFESSOR NEEDS: I need a claim,, thesis , argument, and focus on the topic What I need to answer is .s..do you agree with McCarthy vision (which is not romantic, bloody, violence) or do I agree with the old fashion fantasize way (when people thought it was romantic, all nice and Rosie etc.) How should I look at the western expansion today .s..is it romantic as everybody says or is it blood shed as McCarthy believes/visions it??? I need an introduction paragraph, and the intro needs to contain my claim— answer the question on who/what I agree/believe with. include quotes 6 of them.
