 China’s Anticorruption Campaign

Introduction

            All around the world, people believe that corruption acts as a hindrance to economic growth which is why government official involved in it are punished. Research has shown that the cases of bureaucratic corruption appear to be high in countries that have nondemocratic forms of government. This reason is because the governments have a political system that is weak and the public don’t put the government officials under pressure, also, when the revenues that are generated are higher, the officials tend to misuse the resources allocated to them. This becomes a major problem, especially for economies that are transitioning and the officials working for the government, have control over the economic activities of the nation. The only most effective way through which the government can fight corruption is through the introduction of policies. However, in some countries, there is still rampant corruption despite the government policies being in place. So the question becomes; how effectively can the government combat the vice of corruption?
