The HHS board met to address important issues pertaining to hiring the new CEO. Key concerns are: Would they find a suitable replacement within HHS’s top management team or would they need to look outside the company and/or industry? Going outside of the organization could bring in some fresh perspectives that could improve HHS’s operations. At the end of the board meeting, the directors decided to hire an outside executive to be their new CEO. She is the top executive at one of their main competitors.
As a recruiter for an executive HR company, you will help analyze HHS’s organizational performance and assist the HHS board in setting strategy and ensuring its effective execution of finding, hiring, and retaining excellent talent. The board needs to explore whether it is the industry or internal environment affecting HHS’s sliding financial performance. The goal is to include these metrics as part of the CEO management contract.
