Abraham Maslow was an American scientist born in the year 1908 to Jewish parents of Russian descent. He was one of the parents’ seven children who made it to the books of history due to his achievement in the field of psychology. As a child, Maslow often kept to himself and spent much of his time reading. As such, he later described his childhood as one which was lonely and unhappy (Cherry, n.d).
