A product advertisement
For this week\\\’s assignment, begin by finding an online example of a product advertisement, an organizational campaign, or some other public message that uses logical fallacies as part of its persuasive argument. Have fun with this!
Once you feel you have located an example, please do the following in approximately 2-3 pages (not including title page or references section):
- Share the example (what it is and a link to view it)
- Identify the intended audience
- Describe how the argument/message is being presented (what visual or other attributes are used persuasively to enhance the argument)
- Summarize the overall message the argument is sending
- State the specific logical fallacy (or fallacies) and analyze how it is (they are) being used.
- In a couple of paragraphs, reflect on the process of analyzing an advertisement or other message in this way. How does it impact your thinking about the message, the product, the person or organization behind it?
