Rip van winkle is a short story that comprises of borrowed ideas from different areas during the period of colonization. This short story was referred by many people as one of the best widely read and loved stories in American culture. The main reason for this is because Washington Irving puts the ideas in the story in a one complete file of the Americans during the period of colonization (Irving and Martin. pg 12)….
