Environmental and occupational health hazards may be managed in different settings, such as government and private settings, in order to protect the public and workforce from environmental exposures.
CASE ASSIGNMENT
In this Case Assignment, you will address public health at the government level from a historical perspective:
Discuss the accomplishments of the U.S. public health system at reducing public health impacts from hazards associated with public environmental exposures and occupational health hazards.
Examine what brought about these successes, particularly at the local health department level.
Select 3 areas that can be improved in environmental health programs.
ASSIGNMENT EXPECTATIONS
Use information from your module readings/articles as well as appropriate research to support your selection.
Length: The Case Assignment should be 4-5 pages long (double-spaced).
References: At least three references must be included from academic sources (e.g., peer-reviewed journal articles). Required Reading is included.
