Freedom of contract is the freedom of an individual to enter into formal agreement with another person or a company without involving the government in the legalization of the contract. With this notion, the person can set rules pertaining to the agreement on how they will carry out the activity for instance, in business the freedom of contract allows the involved people to set their target market, to choose their suppliers of goods and to decide on the countries to sell their goods to.
