Phaedrus talks of love from a sacrificial point in which a man would do anything to please his lover including defeating practically everything for love’s sake. This kind of love explains why some people would go that extra mile to put down their lives for someone they love. Aristophanes version of love emanates from an aspect he puts forward that human beings are naturally incomplete and love is what makes them whole (Rosen, 1968)……………………
