DISCUSSION TOPIC: At the end of the chapter, the textbook discusses Raymond Kurzweil and his predictions for society as we continue engaging with technology. Read the article here from Information Week, written in 2006, especially Kurzweil’s expectations of life in the not-so-distant future (at the time). What do you think of his predictions at the time? Have any of his predictions come to be reality? If any have, which ones? To what extent did he get it right? Do some research on Kurzweil, listen to his TED Talks. Check out what others in the field predict for life in the future with technology. Are we close or far away from living with technology as they predict?

Raymond Kurzweil believes that the technology will grow exponentially to enable immortality. He based his ideology on the trend on the vast technological advancement in the 20th century to predict a biological intelligence that surpasses human intelligence. Kurzweil foretold of nanobots that would flow into the bloodstream to rejuvenate organs fight pathogens to keep our bodies healthy and stop aging. Eventually, people would escape the fate of death(Gaudin, 2006).
Kurzweil futurist beliefs are well calculated this is because technology is devised to help solve human problems…………………….
