An unreal dream is a documentary film that explores on a terrifying error of the American justice system. Notably, the film does more than questioning the power of the law by exposing the wrongful conviction of Michael Morton who spent a quarter of a century in Texas prison for a murder crime that he did not commit. Michael Morton celebrated his 36th birthday on 12 August 1986 which was his happiest day unaware that this was the last for years to come (Verona, 2014).
