While the debate on the fate of United Nation peacekeeping continues, there is still lack of agreement of the true definition of peacekeeping. The numbers of failed peacekeeping missions, including missions which leave less than workable results even after years of continued intervention, suggest that the current definition of peacekeeping may not succeed as a dependable mechanism for defense policy of any country without considering serious transformations and security threats (Ann, 2005, p. 02).
