We are doing a Research Paper on ORGANIZATIONS OPPOSING OR SUPPORTING MINORITIES’ RIGHTS.
Our topic is: Immigration Reform
Our target group is: Latino Community in State of California, USA
Focus: 2 organizations (1 organization opposing & 1 organization supporting) & 1 ethnicity ( which is Latino community)
-How organizations affect ethnic group based on goals (TA said this)
-Should include people’s experience based on race and how identities are shaped (TA said this)
The research paper will divided by 5 parts:
the topic to be studied (briefly introducing the topic and target group
the significance of the study (why the proposed study is important or deserves our attention);
the objective/s of the study (what specific questions or issues it seeks to investigate);
the methodology to be used (how you plan to collect your information);
the expected results (the hypotheses you had before you started your research)
You don’t need to write everything. You only need to work on the first 2 parts which are1) the topic to be studied (briefly introducing the topic and target group and 2) the significance of the study (why the proposed study is important or deserves our attention)”.

Below is the Research Method that my group mates have done so far. I think it will be helpful to take a look and think about what you should write.
Research Methods
For this research project, two organizations (one for and one against) immigration reforms for the ethnic group of Latinos in the Northern California area will be explored. In order to collect information on the organizations and the ethnic group of focus, different methods will be used. First, the organizations will be explored through their websites and news articles that the organizations were a part of. To retrieve a more personalized view of the effects of the organization on identity and experience interviews will be conducted. In order to incorporate class concepts, books will be used for general ideas and concepts that can be applied to our findings on the organizations and ethnic group. Overall, the Internet will be a major resource in finding information, interviews will make the research more personalized, and the class readings will aid in relating back the information to class.
