Your final paper is an exploration of an intercultural theory/concept through a macro and micro lens. This project has two components. You must first conduct a literature review, in which you will synthesize research on your theory and highlight the ways in which the theory has been engaged across the discipline (macro level). You will then discuss whether that theory/concept complements or contradicts your personal (micro level) experience. In answering the “why” it complements or contradicts, you must use the concepts of standpoint and positionality and explain how they inform your understanding.
