Explore current events in either the public or private sector. Students have freedom to choose a situation that interests them which
also relates to a topic in organizational behavior. The event can come from the following sources:
- Case studies/scholarly articles
- Reputable print news sources (magazines,
- periodicals, newspapers, etc.)
- Reputable online news sources (network news
- stations, national and global news outlets)
Create a 5page paper examining a current organizational event/news story. The styling should reflect APA format, including appropriate citations
within text and reference page. This examination should include:
Synopsis of the news story/current event
What organization(s) is(are) involved?
A brief history of the organization(s).
What about the situation is important?
Are there any similar situations with other
organizations noted in the news?
What topics and or theories involving organizational
behavior relate to this situation?
How do you believe this situation will impact
future trends in the particular field or organization that is being examined?
The presentation should showcase the aforementioned points
and be presented in PowerPoint format. Your presentation should not exceed ten
minutes. You are strongly encouraged to limit your slide presentation to 12
slides or less. Be prepared to answer questions at the completion of your
presentation.
