Insulin is a hormone secreted in the pancreas and is responsible for utilizing glucose to energy. Patients of type 2 diabetes secrete insulin but the cells do not make use of the insulin properly and hence can be termed as insulin resistant people. Initially the secretion of insulin is high and steady to get glucose into cells, but with time it reduces and become unable to keep up with energy requirements of the body and glucose intake and there is a buildup of glucose in blood………………………………
