Description
1 page single space review source Charles Lemert Social Theory

below are the instructions for how to write a good MICROSUMMARY:
The microsummary paper should consist of the following:
First Paragraph: Should be the summary of the reading. What is the main point of the reading? What was the intention of the reading? What is its importance to sociology?
Second Paragraph: The most captivating and important passage that you thought was very relevant to this day and age. Discuss why the passage was selected. Why did it resonate with you? How important is it in regards to understanding not only the rest of the reading but also how we interpret the social world?
Third Paragraph: This should close out the microsummary by applying the reading to a social observation. It can be a personal observation of social reality, media, current events, etc.
NOTE: Keep opinions to yourself and make sure that you are writing this in as objective a way as you can. Stay away from saying things like “Dead White Males” or “Theory is not relevant”. You are to see the importance of these theories today as they were during the time they were written.
Keep the grammatical and spelling errors to a minimum. I do count off for this.
Your finalized microsummary should be a maximum of 1 page singled spaced and a minimum of ¾ of a single spaced paper. You may use Calibri, Arial, or Times New Roman for your font style. The margins should be 1” top/bottom, left/right.
