Some of the nations which were making gains were mostly the colonizers. This because they had more powers as compared to other countries. These powers were utilized by the nations to capture slaves from other countries to their country. For example, the British colonies suffered a lot as the African chiefs were used to find out the weak in the society, orphans children, and the widows. For this reason, they were transferred to these European countries to work as slaves. To make matters worse, they gained little or no pay.  In addition, they worked for long hours and rested for few hours.
