As Adrian Beavis posits, before parents decided whether to send their children to public or private schools, they have to consider various factors. Key among them is traditions that the school stands for, particular in terms of culture. In addressing this question, Beavis proposes three indicators that have often shaped decisions. These include the family background, the economic factors, as well as general perceptions regarding the schools. Beavis, however, warns that the parent’s educational level should not be underscored when seeking to come up with a conclusive answer. Beavis finds a link between parents who have attained higher educational levels sending their children to private schools compared to their counterparts.
