Assignment Instructions: For this assignment, you will need to identify a topic, develop a Research question or hypothesis around that topic and find 5 academic peer-reviewed journal articles on that topic.
1. To select your topic, please visit https://grandchallengesforsocialwork.org/Links to an external site. to read about the Grand Challenges of Social Work. Identify, one subject from one of the Grand Challenges that you would like to be the focus of your research. In class, I will ask students to share their topics of choice so that I can provide guidance and confirm that it is an approved topic.
2. With your topic in mind start writing down key words related to your topic and use those words search and locate peer reviewed journal articles on your topic. Please use the UHD library for your search. You may also utilize Google Scholar to aid you in your search. Find as many scholarly journal articles as you can that are related to your topic. Review the journal articles and choose 5 to 7 that you believe represent your topic the best.
3. After reading through many journal articles and choosing 5 to 7 for this assignment, formulate your hypothesis and/or research question.
Your paper has to be written in APA style and must have the following:
– A topic title
– A Research Question or Hypothesis
– 5 to 7 peer reviewed articles cited correctly in APA style.
