Rh incompatibility
Stacy is two (2) months pregnant. This will be her second child and she is so excited. She just moved to your town and would like some advice. Her blood type is AB-. She remembers something her obstetrician told her about Rh incompatibility and how she would need to get “some kind of a shot” if she were to get pregnant again. She is asking you what this shot is and why she needs it.
How would you describe Rh incompatibility to her?
What injection will she need?
What could happen if she doesn’t get the injection?
Does every pregnant mom need this injection?
