Assimilation is a process that involves a culturally minority group gradually adapting and prevailing the customs, norms and customs of the superior culture. Such a society adopts the language and values held by superior group and adopts a progressive speech. One society dominates the other in a process that may be either quick or gradual depending on the circumstances of the group. Assimilation may also be seen among the immigrants where it may entail either diaspora or native residents being culturally dominated by another society.
