ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THE PROJECT THAT HAS NOT BEEN ADDED TO PREVIOUS ASSIGNMENT: Another piece to help with staffing is that at the last stroke committee meeting it was determined that J&S unit will be the primary unit to receive stroke downgrade patients from PCU and CCU to reduce the utilization of critical care beds once the patients are stabilized. Nurses are undergoing education and training now to be able to support this type of patients and receive DNV certification. A benefit to the unit is minimizing floating and securing 1:4 nurse to patient ratios.
