There are many tools, tips, and practices out there to help online instructors better manage their time and increase their efficiency. Many are freely available; you just need to know where to look. (See the Optional Learning Resources for this module.) For this assignment, you conduct independent Internet research to find new tools, tips, and/or practices that can help you to work smarter instead of harder.
To Prepare:
Conduct independent Internet research to find new tools, tips, and/or practices that can help you increase your efficiency as an online instructor.
Select two tools or practices that you discovered, which you believe can help you to become a more efficient online instructor. Imagine again that your supervisor has asked you to share tools and strategies with your online instructor colleagues. Write a 500-word explanation of your findings so that your colleagues, too, can work smarter. Be sure to address the following for each tool and/or practice:
• What is it?
• How can it help you work smarter or more efficiently?
• How can it help you better manage your time?
• How do you plan to use it in your professional practice?
• Include the URL address (and any other related resources) so your colleagues can explore the tool and/or practice, as well.
Submit as a document entitled “Working Smarter.”
